Welcome to Fun Car Bids. By accessing or using our website, registering to bid, or listing a vehicle or item for auction, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Use. Please read them carefully before participating on the platform.
1. Overview & Platform Role
Fun Car Bids operates as a specialized online auction marketplace for classic vehicles, muscle cars, sports cars, vintage pickup trucks, and automobilia (including signs, gas pumps, and petroliana).
Fun Car Bids is an independent venue facilitating transactions between buyers and sellers.
Backed by decades of international import, export, and vehicle evaluation expertise, Fun Car Bids strives to maintain a transparent, secure, and professional auction block.
2. Buyer’s Fee (5% Buyer’s Premium)
By placing a bid on Fun Car Bids, all buyers acknowledge and agree to the following fee structure:
5% Buyer’s Fee: A non-refundable 5% Buyer’s Fee (Buyer’s Premium) is automatically charged to the winning bidder upon the close of a successful auction (e.g., a $20,000 winning bid incurs a $1,000 Buyer’s Fee).
Payment Authorization: To place a bid, users must register a valid credit or debit card via Stripe. Fun Car Bids reserves the right to place a temporary hold or authorization charge prior to or during bidding.
Winning Bid Obligations: Upon winning an auction, the 5% Buyer’s Fee will be processed immediately using the winning bidder’s payment method on file. The remaining purchase price of the vehicle or lot is settled directly between the buyer and seller.
3. Bidding Rules & Anti-Sniping
Binding Bids: All bids placed on Fun Car Bids are legally binding contracts. Bids cannot be retracted or canceled once placed.
Anti-Sniping (Soft Close): To ensure a fair bidding process, any bid placed in the final minutes of an auction will automatically extend the auction clock (e.g., by 2 minutes). The auction will remain open until no further bids are placed within the extended window.
Reserve Auctions: If an auction carries a reserve price, the item or vehicle will not sell unless the highest bid meets or exceeds the seller's confidential reserve amount.
4. Vehicle & Automobilia Condition Disclaimer
"As-Is, Where-Is": All vehicles, automobilia, gas pumps, signs, and collectibles are sold on an "As-Is, Where-Is" basis with all faults and without warranty, express or implied, by Fun Car Bids.
Due Diligence: Buyers are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence, inspections, VIN checks, title verifications, and condition assessments prior to placing a bid.
Listing Descriptions: Descriptions, photographs, and spec sheets provided by sellers or listed on Fun Car Bids are for informational purposes. Statements regarding factory components (e.g., presence of factory A/C components, trim codes, or matching numbers) reflect visual presence and seller representation and do not guarantee operational status or complete originality unless explicitly verified.
5. Titles, Shipping & International Buyers
Post-Auction Settlement: Buyers and sellers are required to complete payment of the remaining vehicle balance, title transfer, and transport logistics within 7 calendar days following the auction close.
Transport & Logistics: Buyers are responsible for all shipping, freight, import/export duties, taxes, and registration fees associated with the purchase.
Import/Export: Bidders participating internationally are responsible for verifying compliance with local import/export laws, titling requirements, and customs regulations prior to bidding.
6. Seller Responsibilities & Consignments
Sellers represent and warrant that they possess legal title or authorized power of attorney to sell any vehicle or automobilia lot submitted to Fun Car Bids.
Sellers agree not to bid on their own listings ("shill bidding") or engage third parties to manipulate auction prices. Shill bidding will result in immediate termination of the seller's account and forfeiture of listing privileges.
7. Limitation of Liability
Fun Car Bids shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from site outages, bidding delays, payment gateway failures, or disputes between buyers and sellers.
